Hobie 15 "The School"

With its original design, the huge hull volume, the Hobie Cat 15 has become a reference in institutional off the beach sailing and has been chosen by a great number of sailing schools and leisure operators such as Club Med, Club Aldiana, Club Robinson, Sunsail, UCPA, VDWS....

Via a unique patented hull design, the Hobie Cat 15 can carry up to five persons. The Keel's innovative shape allows exceptional performance to be maintained up wind with minimal draft for shallow reefs. There is plenty of headroom due to the boomless rig. During heavy winds the sail area can be reduced with a simple reef point without compromising the sailing pleasure. The huge volume of the hulls ensures buoyancy and safety. Everything has been well studied on this boat, from the patented keel to the vertical cut mainsail. Naturally it is simple to assemble and can also be carried on the top of a car.
